LPGA legend and Team Europe Solheim Cup captain Annika Sorenstam spoke to SNTV on Wednesday (8th June) about the transition from player to captain.
SOUNDBITE (English): Annika Sorenstam (on the Olympics):
"You know it's a - I wish we had the Olympics when I played. It doesn't mean that I, you know, have any intention of playing or anything but it would have been great. It would have been certainly something I would have looked forward to, something that, you know, you dream about growing up watching sports. Just seeing all these other athletes, you know, represent their country and doing what they love to do I think that would have been, you know that would have been neat. But you know now I'm just excited that it's in golf. I think it's good for golf - you know I'll be over there covering it for the women's side and I think that's fantastic. I think golf is going to grow from a worldwide perspective after this and hopefully get clubs in kids' hands that wouldn't otherwise so I look forward to it."
