Thousands of thrilled football fans celebrated Real Madrid's eleventh European title on Sunday (29th May) by packing out Madrid's Cibeles Square to catch a glimpse of the winning team.

Real Madrid took to the streets of Madrid on Sunday morning to celebrate their triumphant return as the champions of Europe.

The Spanish giants defeated city rivals Atletico Madrid on penalties in Saturday's Champions League final in Milan.

Barely had Real returned to Madrid when they were whisked upon an open top bus to celebrate their victory with thousands of adoring fans.

Sergio Ramos put Real ahead in the San Siro, before Carassco equalised for Atletico.

Only penalties could separate the two sides, with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring the winning spot kick.

The win was Real's eleventh Champions League crown.

Certainly a good excuse for an early morning party in Madrid.
