IAAF remains tight-lipped on Russia findings

  • The head of athletics' governing body's taskforce delegation in Moscow refused to comment on Friday (27th May) on the content of talks they have held with Russia over recent doping scandals.

    SOUNDBITE (English) Rune Andersen, Head of the IAAF taskforce delegation:

    "We have had meetings with the Russians now for 3 days, we have interviewed athletes, we have looked into many aspects of this issue. The content and the substance of these discussions is impossible for me at this stage to comment on, so it will have to be like that."

    SOUNDBITE (English) Rune Andersen, Head of the IAAF taskforce delegation:

    "I can only comment on what's been out in the media. There are several organisations that have viewpoints on this and we've all seen those viewpoints. Other than that I cannot comment on whether we have been approached by anybody in terns of pressure on where we should land our recommendation."
