  • Second seed Andy Murray was fighting back from two sets down against Radek Stepanek when their match was halted due to bad light at the French Open in Paris on Monday (23rd May).

Andy Murray's French Open did not get off to the best of starts on Monday (23rd May) as bad light forced his match with Radek Stepanek to be postponed.

More worrying though for Murray was his performance during the opening two sets, which he dropped to Stepanek 6-3, 6-3.

Murray finally sparked into life in the third, taking it 6-0.

And his momentum continued into the fourth where the second seed forged a 4-2 lead before play was halted.

Murray will hope to continue his recovery on Tuesday.

Another disrupted game came to its conclusion on Monday though as Fifth seed Kei Nishikori beat Italian Simone Bolelli 6-1, 7-5, 6-3 to move into the
    second round.

Meanwhile, in the women's draw Second seed Agnieszka Radwanska looked in fine form as she sailed past Bojana Jovanovski 6-0, 6-2.
