  • Newly-elected BCCI president Anurag Thakur faced the media in Mumbai on Sunday (22nd May).

    SOUNDBITE: (Hindi) Anurag Thakur, President of BCCI (On the BCCI share in ICC, talking about implementation of the Lodha commission report):

    "We are talking of India progressing in the direction of the taking the team to the number one position in T20, ODI, women's cricket, Test Cricket. Money is important, but it's not more important than the game of cricket. For the growth and promotion of the game we need money to improve on the stadia, good grounds, good package for the players. And if the BCCI is contributing to the growth of the world cricket, and If India is making a major contribution and if India claims a major share, then I feel India deserves it."
