So Yeon Ryu shots 64 to lead in Virginia

  • South Korean So Yeon Ryu leads after the second round of the Kingsmill Championship Presented by JTBC in Williamsburg, Virginia on Friday (20th May).

    Day two of the Kingsmill Championship saw Mika Miyazato ahead of the pack by a shot.

    She ended up a shot off the lead with a level par 71.

    Jessica Korda was one of the movers on Friday. Rolling in for birdie on 17 and then again holing a monster putt on 18 to sit at 5-under tied for fifth.

    Defending Champion Minjee Lee is alongside Korda at 5-under.

    World No.1 Lydia Ko had a disappointing first day 2-over, yet carded a 68 to sit at 1-under for the tournament.

    Amy Yang shot her second sub 70 round for the week and is tied in second.

    The World No.3 is accompanied by Stacy Lewis who shot a bogey free round to lie 5-under after 36 holes.

    Out in front is Korea's So Yeon Ryu. Ryu carding eight birdies for her round.

    And she'll take a one shot lead a 6-under into the weekend's action.
