  • Danny Willett shared the lead on Friday (20th May) after the second round of the Irish Open.

The grey skies remained on day two of the Irish Open on Friday.

Thankfully though play was not disrupted meaning the large crowd were treated to seeing some top names in action.

Rory Mcllroy has missed the cut in the last three Irish Opens, however, he had no problems this year, sinking a classy put for birdie at the 1st. The Northern

Irishman finished the day one shot off the lead, which was held by two men.

Masters champion Danny Willett was one of those leading men - carding a 71 to end the day at eight-under.

Willet shares the lead with Marc Warren after the three time European tour winner shot an impressive round of 66 to shoot up the leaderboard.

He will be one of the men to watch in the next round.
