PLATINI APPEAL: Blatter arrives to give evidence

  • Former FIFA President Sepp Blatter arrived at the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne on Friday (29th April) to be a witness as UEFA President Michel Platini started his appeal against his six-year FIFA ban.

    This is Sepp Blatter arriving at the Court of Arbitration for Sport on Friday (29th April) morning.

    The disgraced former FIFA president has been called upon to give evidence in Michel Platini's appeal against his six-year ban from football.

    Blatter gave a brief statement as he entered the court.

    SOUNDBITE: (English) Sepp Blatter, former FIFA President:

    "I am here as a witness. I have been asked to be a witness of FIFA and I answered, 'Yes, I will be a witness'. So, there will be questions to me and I will answer these questions and then the panel will take a decision. Thank you." (Blatter walks inside building)
