Karlberg talks through his 'perfect' shot

  • Reaction from Rikard Karlberg and leader Hennie Otto following the opening round of the China Open in Beijing on Thursday (28th April).

SOUNDBITE: (English) Rikard Karlberg, Sweden (on the hole in one at 16):

"I was discussing up on the tee there with my caddie what club to hit and how to hit it and I have to give him it...I was not convinced but he convinced me how I should hit it and I hit it just like that. It just ended up perfectly. So I will probably give him two of the tyres or something as a thank you. No, but the funny part of it was that the sun was coming so low and the green was really shiny so we couldn't see it go in. So that was a little bit sad you know but the celebration came down there when you glimpse down in the hole and see what it was in. So it was a little delayed reaction but it was a great shot and really happy with the result."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Hennie Otto, South Africa (on his round):

"Yeah I played really well around here. First off, I saved a good par and I think that that gave me momentum. Then after that I hit it really close and I must say it is...I broke 30 putts this week and yeah, I think 23 putts with a chip-in makes a really big difference."
