Christ the Redeemer statue is lit up in the colours of the Brazilian flag, with 100 days to go until the Rio Olympic Games.
Rio de Janeiro's Christ the Redeemer was bathed in the colours of the Brazilian flag on Wednesday to mark the 100 day countdown to the start of the Olympic Games.
The games begin in Rio on 5th August and run through until the 21st August. With the Paralympics following in September.
Heavy rain hampered Wednesday's event at the monument, organisers will be hoping the opening ceremony at the Maracanã stadium is a smoother, and less wet, affair.
