SOUNDBITE: (English) Gianni Infantino, FIFA President (on his desire to expand the World Cup if there is enough support.)
"The World Cup with forty teams, this is indeed my idea. It was in my programme. However, I'm not a dictator so I can't impose anything. I'm trying to convince everyone. We start already and we will continue the consultation phase which will take place now with all the stakeholders, the Associations and the clubs in particular."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Gianni Infantino, FIFA President (on why the World Cup needs to be expanded.)
"I believe it is important to increase the size of the number of teams in the World Cup because we have to be more inclusive. Because today football is not only played in Europe, or Europe and South America. Football is the world. Football is global."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Gianni Infantino, FIFA President
"The message that football carries, which is beyond borders, beyond frontiers, which is inclusive, which can help and can bring people together as well. And with this in mind, I don't know, and being here in Korea, why not think also about a football match between North Korea and South Korea? Men and women? We should think about that and organise that. We should bring everyone together around the football pitch."
