Reaction from both managers after Sunderland and Arsenal draw 0-0 in the English Premier League on Sunday (24th April)
SOUNDBITE: (English) Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger
"We had a good cohesion and good movement of the ball in the first half. In the second half we dropped physically and the game became a bit more tight. Both teams had chances. But in the first half, we should have gone into the dressing room in the lead and, overall, that is the bigger story of the game."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger (about the fact that Arsenal cannot now win the title)
"It is frustrating because we play to win the title and the fact that we do not win it is, of course, frustrating - like it is for many other teams."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce (was it a point gained or two lost?)
"I'd say slightly disappointed we haven't taken all three (points). On the overall performance, if you had said before the game or at half-time would you be happy with a point? Then I would have said 'yes'. But at the end of the game and on the back of a slight change in tactics, which allowed us to get into the game more and more second half, and chances we created second half, I was slightly disappointed we didn't get that one goal to pinch it today. It would have been huge for us but another clean sheet and another very, very good point. And, of course, for the first time in many months it moves us out of the bottom three, albeit on goal difference, and psychologically, hopefully, it is a big boost for our players. Destiny is in our own hands with four games to go. So see whether we can maintain this level of performance and produce it at Stoke City next week."
