American Katie Burnett leading LOTTE Championship

  • American Katie Burnett chipped in for birdie at the 18th hole to grab a one-stroke lead after the third round of the LOTTE Championship in Oahu, Hawaii on Friday (15 April).

    Australia's Minjee Lee took a two-shot lead into the third round of the LOTTE Championship in Hawaii.

    Lee ended the day in a tie for 6th - five shots off the pace - after a 2-over-par 74.

    Defending champion Sei Young Kim is fifth at 9-under following a third straight round of 69.

    South Korea's In Gee Chun and Moriya Jutanugarn of Thailand are three adrift of the lead in a tie for third.

    Chun fired the joint low round of the day - a 7-under 65, while Jutanugarn had a 68.

    Chun's compatriot Su-Yeon Jang and American Katie Burnett went to the 18th with a share of the lead.

    Burnett, who's ranked 195th in the world, chipped in for birdie for a 5-under-67 which took her to 13-under for the championship.

    She's a stroke clear of Jang, who also carded a 67.

    Burnett's only top-10 finish on the LPGA Tour came in 2014 at Ko Olina when she tied for ninth.
