  • Australia and the West Indies will lock horns in India when their Women's Twenty20 final gets underway on Sunday at Edens Gardens, Three-times champions Australia will be contesting their fourth title against a West Indies side - who say they do not fear their opponents - and are making their maiden final appearance in Kolkata.

SOUNDBITE Stefanie Taylor, West Indies captain(on being intimidated by three-times champions Australia)

"No, we're not intimidated at all, I think, if anything, they should be. They ahve wone three times, we have nothing to lose, really. You know, for us it's just, you know, go out there and be positive. we definitely wnat to grasp this and win the Cup for the first time. So, I mean Australia has won it three times, this is going to be the fourth time if things go their way, so I wouldn't think that we're intimidated. I think more like we're just trying to be relaxed."

SOUNDBITE Stefanie Taylor, West Indies captain

"Yes, we definitely do a lot of champion dance. You know, Dwayne Bravo said to us, you know, we're not doing it enough so, I think tomorrow, if we do win, we're going to be doing it a lot so, yeah, we will do it."

    SOUNDBITE Meg Lanning, Australia captain

"There's no doubt that we love winning as a side and, you know, each tournament's very diffrent so it's hard to sort of compare the last three to the build-up to this game - but we're a very competitive side. In anything we do we love to win and want to win. The hunger in this side is as good as it's ever been and as high as it's ever been and we just can't wait to get out there and take on the West Indies tomorrow and have a really tough game and hope to come out on top.

SOUNDBITE Meg Lanning, Australia captain (on being competitve)

"It's certainly something that we pride ourselves on. I guess, is having a number of people contributing to each game. we've had that throughout the whole tournament, which has been pleasing. The west Indies cetainly have anumber of players who can take the game away from you. We saw Cooper in the semi-final hit 60 and play a big role there so we've certainly done our homework on their big players."
