Reaction from winning West Indies batsman Lendl Simmons and India captain MS Dhoni on Thursday (31st March) after the Caribbean side advanced to the World Twenty20 final where they will face England.

SOUNDBITE (English) Lendl Simmons, West Indies batsman (on playing in the IPL):

"Obviously it has made me a better player. The amount of games you have in the IPL. You're constantly playing cricket, and after playing IPL on these pitches, you get to adjust to different strokes and different situations in the game and playing with guys like (Virat) Kohli and (MS) Dhoni and see how they read the games, also helps me that when I am in a situation and analyse the way I go about my game."

SOUNDBITE (English) Lendl Simmons, West Indies batsman (on the final with England):

"I think we should not be over confident, as I said, on the day it is (about) which team plays better. We have to go Kolkata and analyse the situation of the game. When that comes, the conditions will be different. It would not be perfect batting track like what we got today. From watching the previous games back home, I saw the ball was turning in Kolkata, and that did not happen today so I think that played into our hands. So we have to see how it goes on in Sunday."

SOUNDBITE (English) MS Dhoni, India captain (on the West Ibndies defeat):

"The difference between the first inning and the second inning when it comes to surface was too much. During the first innings you would have seen there was a bit of assistance for the spinners. It was gripping a bit, but, there was nothing much in the second innings. So it was quite difficult to score 190 runs. We are saying we are maybe 10 or 15 runs short, because we have seen the second innings. But, you also have to analyse the surface is completely different, and if you are looking at 210 in first innings, then you end up getting 160, and on a wicket like this 160 becomes quite below bar. The only thing I was disappointed about is the two no-balls. Other then that we tried our best. Whatever the conditions was, though it was not in favour of the spinner. But, whatever resources we had we tried to make best of the game."
