Thursday, March 31 2016 by SNTV
  • New Zealand on Tuesday (29th March) prepared to meet England in the semi-finals of the World T20 in New Delhi, and batsmen Kane Williamson spoke to the media.

SOUNDBITE: Kane Williamson (on England advantage in Delhi)
"I suppose England have been fortunate to play on these conditions a couple of times. but in Twenty20 cricket anything can happen. In terms favourites every team is strong coming into this tournament both pools were strong and every side I believe felt they could go all the way and we are no different. I'm sure England are no different as i'm sure the other semi-final. It's an exciting tomorrow night and one the guys are all looking forward to."

    SOUNDBITE: Kane Williamson (favourites tag)
"I think in terms of my perspective and our coaches, there are no surprises for us. We are trying to pick horses for courses our best side on the conditions against the opposition at any given time and that certainly won't change in terms of that philosophy. In terms of favourite tag, it's almost impossible to give someone a favourite tag in Twenty20, it's so fickle in nature that on any given day the team that plays the best wins and anyone can beat anyone."
