  • England on Tuesday (29th March) prepared to meet New Zealand in the semi-finals of the ICC World Twenty20 in New Delhi.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Eoin Morgan, England captain:

(about England having scored most runs and also conceded most runs in the tournament)

"From here on in if we score more than we concede we will be all right. Our strength in T20s up until South Africa was batting. Coming out of South Africa, our bowlers were brilliant. We didn't give them a lot to play with, they came up with different ideas and different ways to stopping people scoring and the main one is taking wickets. That's something that we have tried to encourage for a very long time. Tomorrow, if the wicket is as good as it looks, we will have to come up with different ideas and different skills of stopping New Zealand scoring runs. That experience alone should hold us in good stead tomorrow."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Eoin Morgan, England captain:

(on having played in two World T20 semi-finals)

"I think certainly my experience of going to a knockout stage of a tournament is that you have done the hard work and it's almost now that you have the license to go out and express yourself as much as you can and to me that attitude means getting the best out of yourself. So if you have guys coming out who are very relaxed about performing on the big stage, I think that takes a big weight off your shoulders."
