  • Manny Pacquiao worked out Monday (16 March), ahead of his upcoming bout against Timothy Bradley (April 9), which is reported to be his final appearance in the ring.

    SOUNDBITE: (English) Manny Pacquiao:

"Good thing happened that I take a long rest (after Floyd Mayweather fight). This is the longest rest I've taken in my career since I started boxing. It's good because when you get back to training you're hungry and excited and happy to be back in the ring."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Manny Pacquiao (workout video over soundbite):

    Q. Do you feel that way coming into this fight that you do want to make a statement if this is indeed your last fight?

"My focus is of course to win the last fight. Before I hang up my gloves it's good to know that my last fight is a win."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Manny Pacquiao: Q. Would you agree that you think this third fight will be the most competitive?

"Yes, I believe that and agree. It's going to be competitive and more action in the ring. Especially TB (Timothy Bradley) is body shot and moving inside. So it's good. I'm hoping that he will fight toe to toe with me."
