  • New Zealand's Lydia Ko won the Kia Classic at Aviara on Sunday (27) March, reaffirming her position as the top player in the world.

Gorgeous weather for the final round of the LPGA Tour's Kia Classic in California on Sunday.

New Zealand's Lydia Ko at 14-under took a four-shot lead over Brittany Lang and South Koreans Jenny Shin and Sung Hyun Park into the final round.

Ko birdied three of her first five holes to open up a six-hot lead at 17-under.

Brittany Lang had led after day 1, yet a disappointing final round 2-over meant she ended tied for 10th.

Ko was playing some clinical golf, yet despite that she dropped two shots on 10 for accidentally moving her ball.

Beyond Ko, World No.2 Inbee Park was hot on the Kiwi's heels.

She birdied 16 to sit just a shot off Ko at that stage.

Yet a disappointing approach at 17 meant her two putt took the pressure off Ko, who finished with three birdies winning in style.

Ko now has 11 titles after 71 career tournaments; Tiger Woods reached that mark in 67.
