  • Australia all-rounder James Faulkner of Australia paid tribute to teammate Shane Watson on Friday (25th March) who has announced his retirement.

SOUNDBITE: (English) James Faulkner, Australia all-rounder (on Shane Watson's retirement)
"I have obviously spent a lot of time with Shane...ya, I was on the road for about seven or eight months with him playing IPL (Indian Premier League), Champions League, ODI (One Day International) Series here, couple of years ago...England Ashes. Look he has been only supportive of my cricket, he is very supportive of all the young guys in general, especially when you come into the team, obviously expectation is high. But he is one of the first players to come up and make you feel welcome in the group and make you lift that standard as a senior player, so...when everyone heard the news, obviously there were a lot of sad players. I've obviously played a lot of cricket with him. There are obviously new faces who have only played two, or three or four games, a bit different for them. But yeah he has been great for my cricket. I can't thank him enough."
