  • Jos Buttler spoke about the challenge facing England when the team face South Africa in Mumbai on Friday (March 18).

"I guess the beauty of tournament cricket is that you have got a game in two days time. Don't get too caught up on what has just happened, its irrelevant now anyway. So we have to go on to next game and make sure we focus everything we can do to win that game."

SOUNDBITE (English): Jos Buttler, England wicketkeeper-batsman

"We focused lot on ourselves. Nothing is going to be new that they throw at us. We have obviously seen what they are capable of and so we have played against them. So there is nothing new in their side. But we got to play very well. We obviously, we have had a look at them, they have had a look at us. There are going to be no surprises. But what it is going to take is one, two, three guys in our side to really stand up and make match-winning contributions."

"And we will be really focused on tomorrow (Friday). It is obviously going to be a very exciting game. The guys who are inexperienced are loving the thought of playing in the World Cup, and playing in these big games. And obviously especially playing in India where cricket is just so high profile, it is a great place to come and play. And I think we have got characters in that dressing room that enjoy that occasion, and will stand up to it and will look to take the game on tomorrow."
