  • Pakistan beat Bangladesh by 55 runs in an ICC World T20 Group 2 game at Eden Gardens in Kolkata

After India's shock loss to New Zealand, Pakistan were hoping to avoid the same against Bangladesh in their opening Group two match.

And from the opening overs, it was clear that Pakistan were in the mood for a big score.

Mohammad Hafeez and Ahmed Shehzad both made fifties with some huge shots.

They were both backed up by Shahid Afridi, who went one short of one in a dominant innings

There was one eye-catching moment from Bangladesh as Soumya Sarkar caught Hafeez brilliantly on the boundary - it was a bit of a juggling act as Hafeez innings ended on 64.

But it didn't stop Pakistan posting a huge score of 201.

And it was a total that Banglasdesh never got close to passing.

Mohammad Amir sending Sarkar's offstump flying in their first over.

Sabbir Rahman tried to get things going for Bangladesh with a quick-fire 25, but Afridi got him with a googly

Shakib-al-Hasan's defiant unbeaten 50 was a bright spot for Bangladesh, but they finished on just 146 for 6. 55 runs off the pace.
