  • New Zealand's spinners inflicted a shock 47-run defeat on tournament favourites India in the first game of the Super 10 stage at the ICC World Twenty20

A breathtaking opening over saw Martin Guptill clobber the first delivery back down the ground for six before he fell lbw to Ashwin next ball.

Ashish Nehra dismissed Colin Munro, while skipper Kane Williamson was stumped on eight in Suresh Raina's first over.

Big-hitters Corey Anderson and Ross Taylor attempted to rebuild but the latter was sensationally run out by Raina.

The part-time off-spinner collected a straight drive by Anderson and broke the stumps with Taylor just short of his ground.

Anderson then fell to a Bumrah yorker, and only a quickfire 21 off 11 balls from Luke Ronchi carried them to a respectable score.

The Indian response started badly Nathan McCullum trapping Shikhar Dhawan in front before Rohit Sharma was stumped and Raina caught at short
    midwicket in Santner's first over.

Yuvraj went quickly too and even skipper Virat Kohli was undone by spin caught behind off Sodhi's first ball for 23.

Santner removed Hardik and Sodhi Jadeja with skipper MS Dhoni the only frontline batsman left

But the captain couldn't see his side through as he was caught at long-on off Santner for 30,
the Black Caps duly wrapped up a memorable win.

India all out for just 79 in 18.1 overs.
