-
England on Tuesday (15 March) prepared for their opening game against the West Indies in the World T20.
SOUNDBITE: (English) Eoin Morgan, England captain:
"We have a strong squad of fifteen at the moment, which is probably the biggest bonus coming in to this tournament, because the team will be change I think throughout, moving from Mumbai to Delhi, and then potentially on from there. So I think best 11 for the conditions will be selected for every game."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Eoin Morgan, England captain:
"I think they have a number of dangerous players. I think the West Indies have been a strong side in past. As I said number of individual players who are very strong. I think it's important for us, as a young talented side, to focus on what we do best and execute that as part of anything. There are plans in place, but ultimately it's how we execute them."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Eoin Morgan, England captain:
(talking about the spinning surface for Wednesday)
"I think it might not turn as much as probably it will do in Delhi. It is normally a very good batting surface here, and again it's another challenge for the bowlers to try and emphasise taking wickets and holding momentum throughout the innings. So it's another challenge, a challenge we have come against in the past, and will continue to do so in 20/20 cricket."
