New Zealand bowler Nathan McCullum spoke on Sunday ahead to ICC World Twenty20 in India.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Nathan McCullum, New Zealand bowler (Q: Do you think spin will play a major part in this tournament?)

"Yes, I think so but I think you look across all the teams there will probably be two or three spinners in most of the teams so I think it will play a major part but it won't be the only factor. I think all teams have got very powerful batting line-ups and some good pace bowlers as well so it's going to be an exciting tournament with a lot of very good teams."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Nathan McCullum, New Zealand bowler (Q: You start with India in the tournament opener, a mouth-watering prospect?)

"Yes, it's really exciting any time you come and play India in India it's a pretty awesome atmosphere and it's electric and I think the boys are well up for it and really excited about the opportunity to start and open the tournament and flow on from what would have come in recent years, I guess, their consistency in what was shown in their performance and if we can continue that throughout this tournament then, hopefully, we will be there come the back end of the tournament."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Nathan McCullum, New Zealand bowler (Q: It's your last campaign with the team, what are your thoughts and feelings on that?)

"Look, I'm really excited to be able to play with such an exciting group of players in a world tournament again and hopefully with the opportunity of being able to win it. We've got a long way to go and obviously we've got to start well throughout the tournament but if we continue to develop and get better as we have done previously then we give ourselves the best chance. It would be great to be part of that individually and and try to create some performances for the team."
