Opener Tamim Iqbal struck the first Twenty20 international century by a Bangladesh batsman to help his team beat Oman by 54 runs under the Duckworth-Lewis method and reach the Super 10 stage of the ICC World Twenty20 in Dharamsala, India on Sunday. Ireland's campaign ended with a 12-run defeat at the hands of the Netherlands in a match reduced to six overs due to rain.

It was a one-man show for Bangladash in their Twenty20 intenational against Oman - five sixes and 10 fours for Tamim Iqbal - and a tournament first - a century to help his side to 180-2.

Oman's debut tournament had gone well - beating Ireland, but Bangladesh's class showed through.

Rain interrupted play reduced their target to 120 from 12 overs - but they coul only labour to 65-9.

Bangladesh winning by 54 runs under the Duckworth Lewis method, they're through to the Super 10 stage.

Rain delayed Ireland's game against the Netherlands by over two and a half hours, reducing the match to six overs.

For both teams it was a dead rubber but that didn't dampen the entertainment, Netherlands Wesley Barresi with this six delighting the crowds.

Ireland started strongly with 28 runs from the first two overs. But their opponants bowling was the highlight of the day, Paul van Meekeren with this... and a brilliant full-length diving catch from Pieter Seelaar to take the wicket of Kevin O'Brien. Van Meekeren finished with 4-11
