New Zealand's cricketers in confident mood

  • New Zealand batsman Colin Munro assessed the Black Caps World Twenty20 chances during the team's practice at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

SOUNDBITE (English) Colin Munro, New Zealand batsman:

"Yeah it was ok. Obviously the surface I've got to get used to it. It's a little bit slower than back home but not a bad surface to bat on and it was just nice to get a couple out in the middle and have a bit of a hit."

SOUNDBITE (English) Colin Munro, New Zealand batsman:

(Question: You would have taken a bit of confidence from the home summer, in particular some big knocks there?)

"Yeah obviously that's why I'm pretty confident at the moment, and it was nice to contribute to some winning performances and hopefully we can carry it on."

SOUNDBITE (English) Colin Munro, New Zealand batsman:

"I think just sticking to what we do. You know we've played some good cricket over the summer and if we can carry on that and guys performing and doing their role as well as they can and putting the team first then we'll probably come out on the right side."
