World No.1 golfer, Lydia Ko, spoke ahead of the Women's Champions in Singapore about the prospect of playing at this year's Rio de Janerio Olympics. Fellow LPGA golfer, Shahshan Feng, couldn't contain her excitement at playing alongside some of the men's best.

(on whether she would prefer to win the British Open or Olympic Gold medal)

"Definitely take the gold medal, no offence to the British...I played well there, so not it's not like there is any grudges, so..but i think ever since they announced that golf will be in the Olympics and Rio Olympics, i said i want to get myself there in Brazil to represent my country, just to be in the Olympic atmosphere. Obviously golf is a very individual sport, you there is not that many times we get to play in the team format unless it is International Crown or Solheim (Cup) which New Zealand unfortunately hasn't qualified for either one of them..so for you to be in the place where you are amongst other athletes, not just golf but in other sports, i think it is definitely going to be a different feeling.."

"And i'm really excited to go to Rio because we are ladies golfers..so we don't really get to play with the men's that much. For me i'm a big fan of PGA Tour, so i'm really excited to see ..really excited to see maybe i can meet Rory Mcllroy, Jordan Spieth ..i watch them on TV all the time and maybe they watch us on TV too, i don't know but i'm really excited to meet them and also other athletes like from other sports. And i would say golf in China now is not that popular yet but i think if any of the four Chinese players - two men and two women - if any of us can get a medal and to get on the TV i think it is going to help golf grow in China".
