Xi Yu Lin gave herself a great 20th birthday present when she struck a hole-in-one on the par three 16th hole at the LPGA Thailand on Friday (26 February).

"No, I didn't. Because I saw my ball there land on the slope and I saw it started coming back and I thought it's going to be close to the pin. And I hear my caddy say, get in the hole. I'm like, no way. Then when I picked the tee up and walked to the bag, Ariya turned around and said I think your ball goes in."

(Q. What did you think when you walked to the green and saw one ball short?)

"When we walking on the green and Ariya saying if you still not believe your ball is in then you are going to hit another one because you can't find your ball. I was, no way.... maybe it is really close to the hole and until I walked to the hole and see the ball in the hole and that's my ball. So I finally believed it".
