Neil: "Disappointed" at West Ham stalemate

Sunday, February 14 2016 by SNTV
  • Alex Neil's reaction after Norwich City claimed 2-2 home draw against West Ham United in the English Premier League on Saturday (February 13).

SOUNDBITE: (English) Alex Neil, Norwich City Manager:

"I went through a mixture of emotions today I think. I think our performance was better. I think we were back to being on the front foot more than what we have been recently and I think that was a conscious decision in terms of a change of approach and trying to attack the game. I think it worked in our favour - certainly when we went 2-0 up. I thought we were good value for that and I think we created some good opportunities in the game. I think the disappointing thing is that we have let that lead slip."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Alex Neil, Norwich City Manager:

"There was no getting away from the fact that we were 2-0 up at home and wanted to see the game out and tried to see the game out. So we are disappointed in that's not been the case. But the performance has been an improvement from where we have been in recent weeks and if we can get set into that sort of stage - being 2-0 up against good teams - then it will give us an opportunity of winning points."
