Tuchel warns Dortmund title rivals ahead of Hertha clash

Saturday, February 06 2016 by SNTV
  • Borussia Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel says victory away at third-place Hertha Berlin will send out a message to their Bundesliga title rivals.
Second-place Borrusia are unbeaten in 2016, having won every game since the winter break.

SOUNDBITE (German) Thomas Tuchel, Borussia Dortmund coach: "This is the second playing against the third-ranked team. We do certainly have the chance to go clear to the top (note: means to extend the difference between the second and the third). And we do certainly also have the chance to send a clear signal to ourselves as well as to all others, to our rivals. And we want this by all means - and we aim to start this upcoming intense time (note: refers to upcoming series of games in all competitions) for us with exactly this signal."

    (on third-placed opponents Hertha Berlin):

"Yes, I do expect a very difficult game. The stadium in Berlin is sold-out which is not normal, so it will be an euphoric atmosphere accordingly. The (Berlin) team has gained a lot of self-confidence with a long string of wins, a long string in which the team has constantly collected points."
