  • Everton manager Roberto Martinez said on Friday (5th February) that he anticipates a "difficult" encounter against Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday - as Everton aim for their first back-to-back wins in the English Premier League this season.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Roberto Martinez, Everton FC manager:

"We know that we are going to be facing a team full of flair, they have real quality and they are a very competitive side. We are looking forward to trying to build on the win that we had against Newcastle (3-0) and we see this game as a really important game in our season."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Roberto Martinez, Everton FC manager:

"We know what we are going to face, we know how difficult it is to visit the Britannia Stadium, but I feel that mentally we are in a good moment and we look very confident looking forward to the fixture."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Roberto Martinez, Everton FC manager:

"Away from home we are have only collected one defeat so far which is a great record, very similar to the one we had two seasons ago. But in the same way, we know that probably the Britannia Stadium is one of the hardest places you are going to get in this league, so the focus is clearly on being as good as we can and be fully recovered from the amount of games we have had in a short period of time."
