Bilic not looking at Premier League table

Friday, February 05 2016 by SNTV
  • West Ham United coach Slaven Bilic looks ahead to Saturday's trip to Southampton in the English Premier League (4th February).

SOUNDBITE (English) Slaven Bilic, West Ham United coach:

(on West Ham's position in the table - 6th - five points ahead of Southampton in 7th)

"Well, the gap is there, the gap is OK. I mean, the gap would be brilliant if there were only two or three games to play, but five points is OK, it's a considerable gap, but bearing in mind we have fourteen games (left in the season), it's not that big. So we shouldn't be looking at the table, you know, we should be concentrating - and we will be concentrating - on our next game and if we continue to play like we play, or better than that, which we are trying to and aiming to do, than we should at least keep that gap or hopefully make it even bigger. Sorry, we are not thinking about sixth or fifth or seventh or eighth, or fourth, all that we can influence is our performances and that should put us in a position that we're going to get more points and that should reflect on the table in a positive way."
