Pardew would be happy with draw against Swansea

Friday, February 05 2016 by SNTV
  • Alan Pardew on Thursday (4 February) talked about Crystal Palace's English Premier League trip to Swansea City.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Alan Pardew, Crystal Palace manager:

(on getting at least a draw against Swansea)

"It's a little bit of frustration on our part, not having the results. We've had two cup wins in this period, good cup wins against Premier League opposition, but the league win has avoided us. I think for us, even a draw would be a good result just to get us off this points total we're stuck on and get us mentally in a better place."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Alan Pardew, Crystal Palace manager:

(on the importance of the next two league matches):

"Swansea have picked up a little bit of form, they're a harder proposition for us. This game and Watford are crucial games for us because when I get to Tottenham I'm going to have a much healthier squad. Two very important games for us and that's how we'll approach it to try to get some points."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Alan Pardew, Crystal Palace manager:

    (on Emmanuel Adebayor)

" I thought that some of the reporting the other night was very critical about (Emmanuel) Adebayor. His first game back, from my recollection of him from when he was at Real Madrid and Arsenal, he was never sprinting around like (Jamie) Vardy, that's not the way he plays. He's a player that is clever with his movement and sharp when he needs to be. I thought he showed that quality."
