Sunday, January 31 2016 by SNTV
  • Former runner-up Liang Wen-chong of China shot a four-under 67 to take the clubhouse lead after darkness forced an early suspension of the third round of the Singapore Open on Saturday (30 January).

The third round of the Singapore Open got underway on Saturday with fans treated to some classy play.

Thailand's Nirat Chapchai won shot of the day for this superb birdie at the first. The Thai ended the day three-under overall.

World number one Jordan Spieth almost landed a decent shot of his own at the fourth, but his chip from the bunker just missed the hole.

    So close for the American.

Spieth bounced back from a bogey at the fifth with a birdie at the 7th.

However, he suffered his second bogey of the day on the 15th hole. The American ended the day six-under overall.

Topping the leader board after Saturday's play was 44-year-old veteran Liang Wen-chong who carded a four-under 67.

The Chinese player will be hoping to keep his place at the top with the tournament up for grabs tomorrow.
