Rain leaves Spieth frustrated

  • Unheralded Younghan Song of South Korea fired a brilliant eight under 63 to lead by two shots at the rain-curtailed second round of Singapore Open on Friday (29 January).

Day two of the Singapore Open was disrupted by a torrential downpour which brought about a suspension in play - much to the frustration of Jordan Spieth who was visibly disappointed to hear the hooter to signal a halt to play.
Prior to the rain the world number one had a mixed day. It started well with a birdie and the 2nd, however, he missed the par putt on the 5th hole for his first bogey of the week.

Veteran Darren Clarke is struggling to make the weekend cut, and is three over for the tournament - despite this birdie on the sixth.

Ending the day on top of the leader board is Younghan Song who carded an eight-under 63 to be nine-under for the tournament and enjoy a two shot lead.
