Reactions from Jordan Speith, Keith Horne and Darren Clarke after the First Round of the Singapore Open on Thursday (28th January).
SOUNDBITE: (English) Jordan Spieth, Four-Under After First Round 67 (on his opening Singapore Open round)
"It was a good start. You know, I felt with the positions I was in I would have had at least some better chances at birdie, at least having some good putts within fifteen feet. I just didn't have any today. But that will come. You know, it's just only the first round. Coming here to a different country, a different time zone, it's still an adjustment and I think each day should get a bit better."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Keith Horne, Leads Singapore Open By One Shot After 66 (on his one shot lead at five-under)
"I am very happy with my result today. I haven't played here for a couple of years. I love the golf course. I generally play well when I play here so it was nice to renew my friendship with the golf course today. I played really well today. I had a bit of a walkabout in the middle of the round. But found towards the end of the round I hit the ball probably the best, so, an I putted great today as well which you have to do today."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Darren Clarke (On His Disappointing Three-Over Par Opening Round)
"It was great being back. I hit the ball really nicely today. I hit fifteen greens. Unfortunately I didn't hit is close enough. My iron play wasn't quite on today and I left myself too far away. I had three three putts and I ended up shooting three-over, which I've shot five or six under, hit the ball much worse than I did today. So I'm disappointing, hut that's the way golf is sometimes."
