  • World number one Jordan Spieth carded a four-under 67 to lie one shot behind leader Keith Horne of South Africa, when play was suspended during the first round of Singapore Open on Thursday (28th January).

The Singapore Open teed off on Thursday with world number one Jordan Spieth the headline act to watch this week.

The US Open Champion got off to a good start rolling in this putt on the 10th hole, his first, for a birdie.

Spieth was steady for rest of his round, firing three more birdies in all the par-five holes with two putts.

Another big name competing at the tournament is Europe's Ryder Cup captain Darren Clarke.

He did not have such a good day - hitting five bogeys in his three-over round of 74.

The leader at the end of day one is Keith Horne after a brilliant round of five-under 66. The South African ended his round in style with a superb approach and a neat birdie putt on the ninth hole to move into a one-shot lead.
