Reaction after Europe took a commanding 9-3 lead over Asia at EurAsia Cup on Saturday (16 January).

"I know how strong the Asian team are as well. I said earlier in the week, we're playing in their back yard on their grass in their conditions and I'm very proud of the guys how well they've played so far. You know not just the guys that won today, but the likes of Chris Wood and Kris Broberg fighting and fighting to get the match up the last. You know, there's not much that inspires, nothing quite inspires the rest of the team, seeing the match is down, keep going, keep going, keep going. I was very proud of them. I'm proud of the whole team, but especially those two. Even though they didn't get a point, they fought hard and the whole team fighting hard, that's what it's all about."

"Just very clinical. For foursomes, Clarkie (Darren Clarke) run through the stats and stuff and we were talking about best to go about and approach today. And we played with each other on Tuesday in foursomes and we played good and we figured out the holes that best suit each other's eye. Yeah, we came out really strong and just gave them nothing all day really."

"Yeah, we turned it around well. We expected the Asian team to come out strong today after losing 4 1/2 to 1 1/2 yesterday. That's what they did and they got red on the board, but we managed to battle back and now there's more blue than red. So I think we've got to try and win every day rather than look at the thing as a whole. If we can come out of every session winning then we're obviously going to win the whole thing."
