Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood speak after the first day of the EurAsia Cup in Kuala Lumpur on Friday (15th January).

"Yeah, I think you'd take a scoreline like that. That's quite a big win, even down to that match being halved instead of a loss, you know that can mean a lot. At one point I think we were up in all six. Credit to the Asian boys for fighting back and getting one and half points. We know we've got a strong team and they have got a strong team. We know we have to perform well and there won't be any complacency on our side and we'll just come out fast a fresh tomorrow and try to win that session as well."

"It's nice, When Darren (Clarke) said go out there first and get it done, that's exactly what we did today. We dovetailed nicely. We put two balls in play for the most part and we kept them under pressure. Holed a few key putts, especially around the turn. Eleven, twelve, thirteen were key holes for us and obviously it was enough to get the job done."
