  • Roger Federer took part in a children's day on Sunday (3rd January) as he prepares to defend his Brisbane International title.

    The Australian Open is merely two weeks away, yet Roger Federer was in light-hearted spirits in Brisbane on Sunday.

    The 17-time Grand Slam Champion is the defending champion of the Brisbane international tournament which starts on Monday.

    Here Federer was partnering Garbine Muguruza as the pair took on Victoria Azarenka and Radek Stephanek in an exhibition match.

    Azarenka though finding a new form of racket on her side of the net.

    The didgeridoo seemed to be in fine-tune for the two-time Australian Open Champion.

    Federer, responded with an obscure item of his own. A larger than life tennis racket.

    The four-time Aussie Open champion delighting the crowd with his enthusiasm and humour.

    The Swiss is the top seed at this week's tournament , which will also feature Kei Nishikori, Marin Cilic, Milos Raonic and local favourite Bernard Tomic.

    On the women's side, Azarenka and Muguruza feature along with Maria Sharapova, Simona Halep, Angelique Kerber and Carla Suarez Navarro.

    Federer will be hoping it's all smiles again this time next weekend.
