Reaction after England defeated South Africa by 241 runs in Durban on Wednesday (30th December) to take the first match in the four-Test series.
SOUNDBITE: (English) Alastair Cook, England captain
"The lads are pretty happy, obviously it is a very short turn-around now, the shortest I have ever done. So, we have got to be careful with recovery in the next two days. It's important, if we can get our noses ahead again then it would be fantastic, but you know it starts level in Cape Town"
"The wicket last night was a really big one, obviously getting that in the last over by Finney (Steven Finn), because those two (Faf du Plessis and AB de Villiers) have got a history of batting a long period of time and I think quite enjoy putting every shot away and making it very hard, so to get that..and then obviously Mo (Moeen Ali) producing that ball third ball to get AB out was, you know, you couldn't ask for a better start could you? He was obviously the guy they wanted to bat around, he's got the experience obviously and the quality. It is never easy bowling on the last day of the Test match or the last innings when it is turning, because people are expecting you to take wickets and the way Mo bowled I thought was fantastic".
"To win away from home..I think.. we don't do it that often and I think this is the first time since 2012, I think that's right, against India, so it has been a while for us as a side and yeah, it is pleasing. But as I say, we've got an opportunity, so can we take it?"
