  • Lizzie Kelly became the first woman to win a Grade One jumps race after riding Tea For Two at Kempton Park on Saturday (26th December).

SOUNDBITE (English) Lizzie Kelly, first female UK jumps race winner: (On the win and reception she received)

"I love the moment, that moment where you've done it. It might be a big race, it might be a small race, but you've actually done it and today it was even better because it was that horse, massive day for us, grade one and I've always loved the reception. I think it's so important you enjoy the good days because the bad days are far more frequent and today has been a very, very good day."

SOUNDBITE (English) Lizzie Kelly, first female UK jumps race winner: (On making history and inspiring other female jockeys)

"When kids come running up and they want your autograph and things like that whether people are coming as spectators or they have a pony in the backyard. It's a bit different. I'm not one of the big lads, I don't ride for a massive stable, I'm doing it for my family and for myself and I suppose people could think that's inspiring."
