  • Welshman Jamie Donaldson won the Thailand Golf Championship in Chonburi by three shots on Sunday (13th December).

Jamie Donaldson won his first title of the year after beating Clement Sordet of France and defending champion Lee Westwood by three strokes in the final round of the Thailand Golf Championship on Sunday.

Donaldson started the day two shots behind but rallied and hit nine birdies and two bogeys to end the day 21-under par and top of the leader board.

The Welshman’s nearest challenger was surprise package Clement Sordet who fell off the pace despite this birdie putt at hole 17

Elsewhere, the two time winner of this event Lee Westwood shot a bogey-free 67. Whilst Bubba Watson hit this spectacular hole-in-one to catch the eye.

However, the day belonged to Donaldson who now claim's one of four berths into next year's British Open.
