  • Marc Leishman won the Nedbank Golf Challenge in Sun City after carding a 5-under final round of 67 on Sunday to finish at 19-under overall, six shots ahead of Henrik Stenson in second place.

The climax of the Nedbank Challenge at Sun City in South Africa. The stunning scenery complementing some stunning golf.

Two men in the limelight, Henrik Stenson starting one stoke behind leader Marc Leishman. The Swede dropped a shot at the third but managed this birdie at the 8th. But Henson never quite found his spark.. a decent round of 72 included this chip for a birdie at the 17th, and an overall finish of second.

Leishman also dropped at the third, but birdies on the 7th and 8th helped him keep his cool - he was now two clear of Stenson. Whilst Stenson pushed, Leishman drove the advantage home with some superb, solid play. Another birdie at the 13th typifying his cool. Birdies at the 15th and 16th holes sealed the win and he was able to enjoy the walk over the last two holes. He carded a 5-under 67 to finish 19-under for the tournament.

The six-shot victory becomes the Australian's first European Tour title. His previous best finish on the tour was at this year's British Open, when he lost a playoff to Zach Johnson in St Andrews.
