Schalke 04 coach Andre Breitenreiter looks ahead to Sunday's trip to Bayer Leverkusen
SOUNDBITE (German) Andre Breitenreiter, Schalke 04 coach:(on criticism the team has faced following a run of seven games without a win, broken by the 1-0 home win over APOEL)
"The atmosphere in the team is still good and we don't care about negative coverage. It is a fact that we haven't scored enough points in the league in the last few weeks, we know that ourselves, but it is only a phase. We will get out of that. We have four games until the winter break and there will not be opponents like (Borussia) Dortmund and Bayern (Munich), but games against teams we are more likely to beat and that is what we want to do."
SOUNDBITE (German) Andre Breitenreiter, Schalke 04 coach:(on the trip to Bayer Leverkusen)
"First of all it is only 1 of 34 Bundesliga games. We have four games before the winter break in which we, of course, want to register as many points as possible and it would be great to start this process in Leverkusen. We will meet a top quality team, especially going forward, a team which assembled it's squad with a view to playing in the Champions League and with a market value significantly higher then ours. We will not be the favourites in this game, but Leverkusen are under much more pressure, especially after the draw in the Champions League (at BATE Borisov in Belarus) and face probable elimination. We are going there, we want to bring our confidence (from a 1-0 win over APOEL of Cyprus in the Europa League) to the Bundesliga and if possible win in Leverkusen."
