Messi pickable when unfit - Luis Enrique

Saturday, November 28 2015 by SNTV
  • Spanish Primera Liga leaders Barcelona looked ahead on Friday (27th November) on the eve of the home clash with Real Sociedad.

SOUNDBITE: (Spanish) Luis Enrique Martinez, Barcelona head coach (on Lionel Messi):

"I saw him in very good shape. The same way we all saw him. He is far from being in top shape. For that he needs more competition rhythm. But Leo doesn't need to be in top shape to make a difference. We've all seen that. But he is following the logical dynamics of a player who has been out of action for two months. And that now needs more minutes to be back in top shape."

SOUNDBITE: (Spanish) Luis Enrique Martinez, Barcelona head coach:

"All games carry a certain degree of danger. This one will have it because it's our next. Be warned. It is true we are going through a good moment and we want to make it last as long as possible. There are practically two thirds of the league ahead and still lots of games to play. We will go on the pitch tomorrow trying to win our game and to put as much pressure on them as possible, and to try to deserve winning those three points. That is our clear goal."
