Thursday, November 26 2015 by SNTV
  • Algerian midfielder Adlene Guedioura admits that Watford's strong start to life in the Premier League has come as a suprise as he targets more success with club and country.

    SOUNDBITE: (French), Adlene Guedioura:

"Yes, I think. I think rightly at the start of the season people thought that we were going to end up right at the bottom of the table. But I think that looking at the team we have, the quality of players and staff and the club have really organised well this team in order to be able to maintain all that is possible."

    SOUNDBITE: (English), Adlene Guedioura:

"Yes, it was a surprise between I think people expect us to be in the bottom at the end. But I think between the quality of the players, the staff and the club and how they organise the club, we expect to be safer earlier in the season."

    SOUNDBITE: (French), Adlene Guedioura:

"Exactly. I think to return to the national team is always an honour, a pride to be able to play a part for this team. I have always liked going, it's always a joy to see all the people behind this team. Truly, football in Algeria is something special and the fact of participating for this World Cup campaign and African Cup - we have a real desire to do. We did well last time for the last two matches and I would like to continue for as long as I can with the national team and give the best that I can for the national team and all for the shirt."
