Reaction after Wolfsburg beat CSKA Moscow 2-0 in UEFA Champions League Group B on Wednesday (25th November).
SOUNDBITE: (German) Dieter Hecking, Wolfsburg coach:
"We are very happy that we won here in Moscow. (++PAUSING FOR TRANSLATION++) I think this game was not easy, it was not the best place possible (to play) and it was a bit colder that in Germany - but nevertheless, the team performed very well."
SOUNDBITE: (German) Dieter Hecking, Wolfsburg coach:
"Well, to make it through the winter... Our big goal is to go through winter (being) in the Champions League. We want to make a big step further. We'll see what happens with Manchester (United) tonight (drew 0-0 at home to PSV Eindhoven). Yes, that's the big goal."
SOUNDBITE: (German) Dieter Hecking, Wolfsburg coach:
"If it happens... Zenit are playing a fantastic series in the Champions League - five victories. It's a very good team, of course. I think we will be happy to face any rival in the first knockout round. Zenit are a group winner, we also want to become a group winner so it won't be possible in the Round of 16. We'd like to come (to Moscow) for the quarter-finals."
SOUNDBITE: (Russian) Leonid Slutsky, CSKA Moscow coach:
"A bitter defeat because I believe we had a big advantage in the second half and there were moments when we could have scored but, unfortunately, we didn't take our chances. There were chances at 0-0 and when we trailed 1-0. Perhaps we had our best half in this Champions League - this second half - along with the first half against PSV - but unfortunately that was not enough for a positive result."
