Curry: 'Record-equalling 15-0 start a huge accomplishment'

Tuesday, November 24 2015 by SNTV
  • Postgame reaction after the Golden State Warriors defeated the Denver Nuggets 118-105 on Sunday (22 November) to get to 15-0 and equal the NBA's best record to start a season.

SOUNDBITE (English) Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors Point Guard:

"It's a huge accomplishment. Obviously coming off a championship and taking care of business 15 straight times to start a season, I mean, couldn't ask for a better start obviously. Maybe two games ago it became, like, a real conversation in the locker room, 'Since we're here, might as well get it done.' And now since we're 15, might as well get 16, that's the next step so I'm excited about that challenge on Tuesday."

SOUNDBITE (English): Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors Point Guard (on why the team isn't celebrating more):

"Yeah, I mean in the game we try to play as if that, like 15-0 meant something to us and try to get it done. It's kind of weird to celebrate it on the floor though. I mean, it's the regular season, we're not even anywhere near the halfway mark or anything so it is a great accomplishment that we haven't had any blemishes on the record so far and I think it's kind of a quiet confidence that, you know, we don't feel like we're going to lose any time soon the way we're playing and the way that we can get even better so that's kind of muffled the celebration out there on the court and in the locker room."
